T&DT - ICT Course

“The aim of the T&DT is to contribute to the achievement and capability of ATC personnel through the provisions of an efficient and effective training system”

Instructor Cadet Training (ICT) must be taken between the ages of 17½ and 18½ years of age. The T&DT currently operates a combined Instructor Cadet and Adult Staff Course (BASIC) to encompass the appropriate requirements for ICT.

Instructor Cadet Training has three aims:

· To provide a sound understanding of the ACO stance on Child Protection & Welfare.

· To explain the expectations and standards of Instructor Cadets and Adult Staff in the ACO.

· To provide useful information to help in dealing with unit level events.

As a result of attending this course, Instructor Cadets will understand their role within the ATC and be a greater asset to their unit.
