Instructor Cadet Training

Instructor Cadet Training (ICT) must be taken between the ages of 17˝ and 18˝ years of age. The T&DT currently operates a combined Instructor Cadet and Adult Staff Course (BASIC) to encompass the appropriate requirements for ICT.

Instructor Cadet Training has three aims:

· To provide a sound understanding of the ACO stance on Child Protection & Welfare.

· To explain the expectations and standards of Instructor Cadets and Adult Staff in the ACO.

· To provide useful information to help in dealing with unit level events.

As a result of attending this course, Instructor Cadets will understand their role within the ATC and be a greater asset to their unit.
